The English Open was a part of the European Tour again this year and this time it was held from the 2nd of October until the 11th of October 2026 in Stroud Bowl, Stroud, England.
Total of 257 entries and re-entries were bowled during the duration of the tournament by 109 players, where of 14 were women.
After three final steps the top 8 went through to the next step. In final step four the remaining players took the scores with them and had to bowl 4 more games.
After every game the scoreboard changed but before the start of final step four the leader was Luukas Väänänen from Finland. He fell out of first place after two games in step four and was replaced by Richie Teece from England. But then Luukas stepped up and delivered two great games to take back the lead and secured the victory with only 8 pins more than the runner up Richie Teece.
This was Väänänen’s first title on the European Tour! Congratulations Luukas! Third place was Brandon Roberts from England and fourth was Richie’s brother, Ray Teece.
The highest ranking woman was Verity Crawley who finished in 14th place.
