The annual Brunswick Madrid Challenge returned as a part of the European Tour this year and was held once more in Bowling Chamartín, Madrid from the 11th of July until the 19th of July 2026. 

 

Total of 486 entries and re-entries were bowled during the duration of the tournament by 174 players, where of 22 were women.

 

The score to make the cut to final step 1 was 1337, or 222,8 average.

 

After four final steps it came down to a three player stepladder. 

 

In the semi finals it was Carl Eklund from Sweden against young Nicolai Mallia from Malta, Eklund was victorious with a big margin, 257 to Mallia’s 176. 

 

In the final it was Eklund against Andrea Mangiacotti from Italy. The final turned out to be much closer and more exciting and in the end Mangiacotti came out on top, winning his first ever European Tour Title with the score 224 to Eklund’s 205. Congratulations Andrea!

 

The winner of the women’s ranking was Nora Johansson from Sweden who came close to making the stepladder but in the end finished in 5th place only 30 pins away from the top 3.
